Our multi-disciplinary team consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist, Two School Nurses and two Counselors. This encourages a holistic approach that benefits the child with diverse disabilities. A variety of assessments are done; admission, referrals, work placement grants, as well as to determine internal treatment programmes for the individual. Treatment takes place in either group form or individually; and is in relation to the learner’s needs and abilities. Poor motor function, autism, feeding difficulties, physical problems, speech deficits, and hand function are some of the many challenges faced in the therapeutic setting. Social-emotional group sessions, positive re-enforcement and promoting the experience of success ensures that the learner develop a healthy self esteem for the brightest possible future. The therapy team support and assist educators, hostel staff and parents by giving in-service training, equip all learners in need with assistive devices like orthopedic  shoes, walking frames, communication aids, etc.
